Accreditations

SSDS is the only Jewish Day School in Bergen County to have earned the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools (NJAIS) accreditation, a gold standard. SSDS is also accredited by the Middle States Association, and is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School.  These accreditations reflect SSDS’s excellence and high professional standards in all aspects of academic life, from vision and curriculum to faculty and structure.

Standardized Test Scores

The median score of SSDS 8th graders has consistently been in the top 2-4% nationwide in the Terra Novas over the last three years.  In addition, on a school-wide basis (3rd – 8th grade), 75% scored in the top 6% in the nation in 2017. The Terra Novas are a series of standardized achievement tests used in the United States designed to assess K-12 student achievement in reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, vocabulary, spelling, and other areas. SSDS 8th graders have achieved a Mean Grade Equivalent score of 13 — the highest possible score — in all subject areas and overall every year over the last three years.
